Do I need to rent a car?

NO…you don’t.  In fact, having a car will be a pain. Unless you plan to take day trips to other resorts or areas, we strongly suggest that you don’t rent one if you are flying in. You are staying in the best location in town, with ski-in/out access to Park City Resort.  The FREE city bus stops right outside our building every 5-10 minutes, so when you are looking to take a trip to Old Town, Kimball Junction, Canyons Village or Deer Valley, you will prefer the public transportation options over trying to drive and park elsewhere (trying to park in Old Town will take you longer than walking from our condo).  Most people that rent a car end up parking on day one and never using it during their trip.  

It’s impossible and expensive to park in Old Town – you will want to take the bus everywhere once you arrive. 

Please contact me if you need a parking spot.  This must be arranged in advance.

How do I get around? Transportation Options.

Transportation

Park City has an excellent FREE transportation system that will take you anywhere in town and picks up right outside the building on the east end of the skate rink.  

Airport –> Park City Options

Uber and Lyft are in the area, but be sure to pick the right option for your group, luggage and road conditions (you don’t need 4WD if it’s not snowing and the roads are clear). Uber X would be around $50-60 one way, but that’s only if it’s not snowing and there is not a price surge.  If conditions are snow or ice, you’ll require an Uber SUV or Uber SKI and that will cost around $150-160 one way (non-surge).

Directions – PLEASE READ – google will get you close, but read this to find best drop-off and parking locations.

Park or DROP OFF in this entrance. P3 is the arrivals area, and p4 is for parking.

This is the 2nd garage entrance. Turn left as soon as you enter the garage and park in the lower lot.

I’m driving here or renting a car (and understand that it is not needed!), do I get parking?

PARKING PASS IS REQUIRED – $400 deposit for parking pass. It’s free, but we do need a deposit.

Garage clearance is 6’6″ – if you do not fit, we advise that you park at the park n ride at Kimball Junction and utilize free transportation from the condo. There are no close options for you if you arrive with a car that will not fit.

Please request parking pass in advance, we will need to collect a $400 refundable fee via VENMO, CC or the platform you used to book.  Fee will be refunded in full when parking pass is verified as returned.

We will send the info for retrieving the parking pass with your door codes once we receive the deposit.

To return pass:  place pass in where you got it and take picture with your phone and text it to me upon checkout so I know it was returned.  Please lock it back up. 

The HOA charges us $400 to replace a missing pass. Our parking lot is premium parking for the resort and the HOA has had to resort to these policies over years of abuse.

I’m skiing on my last day, can I store my bags, have a late checkout and/or keep the parking pass that day?

Unfortunately, we cannot provide custom check-in/out times this year as we have back to back bookings throughout the season. Unfortunately, you may NOT use the parking pass after 10am, b/c our cleaners need it and we are only allowed one spot per HOA.

We advise that you move your car first thing in the morning. Reservations are required (get a reservation ASAP!). https://www.parkatparkcitymountain.com/ Parking is FREE for if you have 4+ passengers, otherwise it is $25.

Check-in Check-out Times

Unfortunately, we cannot provide custom check-in/out times this year as we have back to back bookings throughout the season.

Check-in after 4pm

Use the key code provided to check yourself in.  If you are early, send Stacey a text before you attempt to enter.  The code will not work before 4pm.

Check-out before 10am

Key code will expire at 11am on the day of your checkout.  If you used the parking pass, that must be returned as well, as the cleaners need it to turn the room.

I’m arriving early, can I store my bags or get in early?

Unfortunately, we cannot provide custom check-in/out times this year as we have back to back bookings throughout the season.

We will text you when the unit is ready, though! You may store your bags in the HALL closet. The code will be sent to you directly. Note that this closet is first come / first served with guests checking in or out before our after you, so please understand if it’s already full. There is storage service for a fee via Jackson’s Base Camp (best rate, around $10 per bag).

The storage cage in the arrivals area is $90 per day and must be arranged in advance (we feel this is Jackson’s is a much better deal).

Ski Locker room for storage and Ski-in/out access

NOTE: we were recently informed of some construction in this area during the 2023 season, however there is still access to the slopes from the locker room, but you will have to carry your skis a few steps before you can “ski out”.

Another access point is to walk out into the village from our main floor (feel free to use our hall storage instead for your skis), and ski out by Pig Pen Saloon and ski down to Eagle or First Time Lifts.

The window on your right (when looking out) – is for our portable AC unit.  The interior pane will stay as-is (please do not remove this pane).  The window on the left may be opened as you wish as long as there is no snow bulid up blocking the window (please don’t force it and pease do not open the window on the right).  

FRESH AIR – OPEN WINDOW ON LEFT
You may open this window for fresh mountain air (please open carefully and do not fully extend beyond the above roofline as icicles may damage the window if you open it too far.   Please close when you checkout and use caution if using during the winter months.

LAUNDRY ROOM / Linens and Towels

We have supplied linens and towels based on the number of guests you selected. If you need a refresh or clean during your stay, please contact us. There is also community laundry room upstairs- bring quarters!

Jackson’s Base Camp – RENTALS & STORAGE

Ski & Snowboard Rentals

Rentals are available for 30% via Jackson’s Base Camp, right in our building.  Let them know that you are staying in unit 168!  Book in advance online to make sure they are not sold out.

Lift Tickets

For the best prices, purchase in advance at snow.com.  The more days you buy, the better the deal. Season Passes are the best deal if you are skiing more than a week or so! Tickets can be picked up at the ticket offices in the base area.

In the room

Heat  – use the temperature on the wall to set the thermostat.  Please turn down to 55 when you check-out.

Fireplace – there is an on/off switch on the fireplace.  Watch your kids, it is not child proof.  Please turn off when not in the room.

WIFI – passcode  changes monthly.  See page 1 of this document.

Light/Fans – The fan is controlled via the remote control.

Smart TV – remote and guide should be on the dresser.

Skier lockers

Skier lockers are located on level P3.  We suggest locking up your skis there and using the exit to ski right down to First Time Lift, for a true ski-in/ski-out experience.   Please do not remove the locks from the lockers when you checkout.
